We are a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs by fostering social skills, building authentic friendships, and creating inclusive community connections through innovative programs and events.
We rely on generous donations throughout the year to fund our programs, support individuals with special needs, and create more opportunities for meaningful connections, lasting friendships, and a more inclusive community.
We host a variety of engaging events throughout the year to raise funds, expand our programs, and create more opportunities for individuals with special needs to connect, make friends, thrive, feel supported, and be actively involved.
The MAF Foundation (Making Authentic Friendships) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Juliana Fetherman, inspired by her brother Michael, who has autism and ADHD. Motivated by Michael’s struggle with loneliness, Juliana created both the foundation and the innovative MAF app to help individuals with special needs make friends and build social skills. The foundation offers programs, events, and resources to foster authentic friendships and inclusive community support, relying on donations to continue and expand its mission.
